OUTSECURE INC. TO HOST CT’s 2nd BUSINESS SUMMIT ON CYBER-SECURITY
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – OutSecure Inc. in partnership with STOP. THINK. CONNECT. and ISC2 CT Chapter will host a summit on Cyber Security on October 21st. The event—titled “CT 2nd Annual Business Security Summit”— will aim to help business owners learn how to better safeguard information relating to their business, employees and clients, regardless of the size of the company.
The summit will be held at the Scinto Auditorium, Shelton CT.
“The number and frequency of data breaches is increasing,” says Pamela Gupta, president of OutSecure. Recently companies of all sizes and sectors including banks, hedge funds, law firms, food chains and retailers have been infiltrated by hackers – Home Depot, Target, Chase, Jimmy John to name a few.
Target’s CEO Stepped down following the Massive Data Breach and their data breach related costs will hit 1Billion dollars.
Home Depot Says 56M Credit Cards Affected in Security Breach, more cards than Target and potentially will suffer a larger financial and management impact.
Jimmy John’s confirmed that it had a nationwide data breach at 216 locations this summer.
“There is a need for a strategic approach so that companies will understand why they could be targeted, what kind of information is of value to adversaries and how companies can protect themselves.”
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon offered a grave warning on Friday about future cyberattacks.
Chase’s Cybersecurity Budget to Double, CEO Dimon said to go from 250M to 500M. It is important to note that is a response from a company that already had a mature security program.
